Dr Craig Penwarn
D.O., Grad Dip Osteo, N.D., BSc (Nat Med)
Osteopath

Craig has practiced in Brisbane and the Gold Coast for over 25 years. He first graduated as an Osteopath in 1990, followed by a post graduate degree in Clinical Osteopathy from RMIT University in 2000. He has also completed a Bachelor of Natural Medicine, a Diploma of Human Bio-Engineering and a Diploma of Naturopathy.

During his first period of Osteopathic study Craig was involved in the treatment of patients with Multiple Sclerosis. The success of this clinic laid a firm foundation for treatment of chronic illnesses and a strong understanding of the importance of the immune system and how it interrelates with all other body systems to bring about optimal health.

Craig’s undergraduate training also provided a sound foundation in the use of more traditional Osteopathic techniques such as deep tissue and joint manipulation. Further studies and training led Craig to understand and experience the importance of the more subtle and gentle approaches to Osteopathic technique and their effectiveness. Consequently, Craig has the ability to base his practice on a gentle approach and the experience to incorporate more strenuous techniques when required.

Craig is passionate about Osteopathy and believes that the human body is capable of healing itself with the assistance of gentle and non-invasive techniques that guide the body back into correct alignment and optimal health.

Craig furthers his education and training every year and firmly believes that Osteopathy can play a fundamental role in maintaining a healthier, happier life.  He is committed to compassionate, quality care for his patients and endeavours to partner with them to achieve excellent outcomes for their health.

He is a member and past Vice President of the Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ANM), and a member of Osteopathy Australia (OA).

On a more personal note you will find Craig on his stand up paddle board most weekends and when he takes a break from the clinic he heads for the snow to work on his skiing and enjoy a mulled wine by the fire at night.
